Meet Your Counsellor
My family and I currently reside in Victoria.
I have over 25 years experience in counselling and have looked after many people from different backgrounds and walks of life. Through both face to face and telehealth counselling via telephone and Zoom, many people have been able to address their barriers.
Life can be overwhelming at times and it is my desire to walk with people through such tough times so they can find renewed strength to carry on. I embrace a Christian perspective which upholds people as created beings, unique with intrinsic value to a loving God. Great dignity is afforded to people by this viewpoint as they are seen as moral creatures who are able to make choices, having been made in the image of God.
During counselling sessions I often use cognitive behavioural psychotherapies such as Person Centred and Solution Focused approaches to enable a person to gain a new perspective so they can move forward in life. I have also used behavioural strategies such as Imaginal Exposure Therapy to help people break cycles of anxiety and trauma.
